An Introduction

Bruce Brorson is an Associate Professor in the Math, Science and Technology Department, and the Interim Director of the UMC Instructional Technology Center at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.

A faculty member at UMC since December of 1975, over the past 15 years Mr. Brorson has directed a number of Internet projects that developed advanced eBusiness resources. His projects have been funded by the Ford and Northwest Minnesota Foundations, as well as the United States Departments of Agriculture, Commerce and Labor.

Mr. Brorson’s research interests are focused on eBusiness Integration and is actively engaged in research assessing the value and challenges of deploying advanced web applications and services to support the growth of small manufacturing and tourism enterprises. Bruce was an active member of the PC Week/eWeek Magazine Corporate Partners Advisory Board and a contributor to the "eVal - From the Trenches" columns in the magazine. Mr. Brorson is also a member of the Minnesota Technology Action Group that advocates for equal and universal access to advanced/broadband telecommunications services for all rural regions and urban neighborhoods throughout the state of Minnesota.
